That last front knocked down some nice migrants, but it did a number on the cattle egrets. Huge flocks all up and down the Island.

Western kingbirds, buntings, hummingbirds, and some scissor-tail flycatchers.

We were hog hunting in Devine Saturday before the front blew in and enjoyed watching vermilion flycatchers rid the world of insects. Cool

Cattle egrets are much smaller than Great Egrets. The black legged egrets are actually Snowy Egrets. Put some binoculars on them and make sure you're right.

(Sorry. my bird ID /wildlife mitigation class is kicking in.)

But still interesting info. Sounds like you know your stuff though, as you always have CS.

Nice. Beautiful colors. A lot like cardinals but clearly smaller. We're seeing our usual influx of red-winged and yellow-headed blackbirds at the airport right now too.
