That last front knocked down some nice migrants, but it did a number on the cattle egrets. Huge flocks all up and down the Island.
Western kingbirds, buntings, hummingbirds, and some scissor-tail flycatchers. |

We were hog hunting in Devine Saturday before the front blew in and enjoyed watching vermilion flycatchers rid the world of insects. |

Cattle egrets are much smaller than Great Egrets. The black legged egrets are actually Snowy Egrets. Put some binoculars on them and make sure you're right.
(Sorry. my bird ID /wildlife mitigation class is kicking in.)
But still interesting info. Sounds like you know your stuff though, as you always have CS. _________________ All things will pass. Have a Blessed day. |

Nice. Beautiful colors. A lot like cardinals but clearly smaller. We're seeing our usual influx of red-winged and yellow-headed blackbirds at the airport right now too. _________________ All things will pass. Have a Blessed day. |
