Good afternoon
We left the NPI early when we saw lines outside of HEB.
We drove back to WY in record time to be home
Now after vacuuming beach sand from our truck ten times (bored)
I thought maybe a little fishing at my favorite lake just sitting on the bank waiting for a bite with fresh air and sunshine would be nice.
But, to my disappointment that was not possible when I crested the ridge leading to the lake.
Damn lake is still covered with ice!
So back home to clean beach sand from the box with power washer.
I did have a very good winter fishing on NPI and have tested the waters on wade fishing. I am the fist to admit that some trips I walked way too far to catch nothing.
I hope all are safe and turn off the negative media and listen to som old time rock and roll. |

| Glad you made it back safely and were able to make it back without being locked out of your hometown. Some people that left their residences are not allowed back in in different parts of the country without first being quarantined for 14 days |

| We always seem to get a lot of exercise walking to the fishing spot. Glad you made it home safely. |

Sinker, how long did it take you to drive to Wyoming? I used to live in Ponca City, Oklahoma and would drive to and from my parents home in Orange, Texas and thought I would never get there each time. I think my trip was around 10 hours, but it was in the early 1970s, so don't hold me to it.

This trip was only 21 hours.
Three things help shave 1.5 hours off windshield time.
First the traffic was very light including the bottle neck on I10 leaving San Antonio west under construction also Denver area was smooth sailing.
Secondly no winter driving conditions requiring slowing to 30/40 mph plus 4x4.
Lastly we only spent one night in a hotel, Dumas TX.
However, we enjoy a much slower trip so we are not exhausted when we arrive.
Thanx for asking. |
