https://ncov2019.live/data I thought I would add in this site there is a map which shows there are no reported cases in Corpus Christi or even nearby at this time. On the map you can identify where the cases are in any state or country. Hopefully none of your families are ever directly effected by this virus.
Keep the faith!
I just want to give credit where credit is due: this website referenced above was developed and is maintained by a 17 year old high school student from Washington State, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh, the Corpus Christi mayor and theNueces County judge both reported on the local news yesterday that there was a confirmed case of Covid-19 in Corpus Christi. Well, my thoughts are with the advent of more testing the numbers will increase until the curve flattens some, followed by another spike.
Just my thoughts for whatever they are worth........cC

Within 3 days there will be 2 cases in Corpus. Within 6 days, 4 cases, within 9 days, 8 cases... every 3 days it will double

And that is the known/tested/confirmed cases. Wipe your door handles and your keys.

I heard it said that the 90 degree weather this week might slow the spread some.

But is that because the virus doesn't like heat, or just because less people are likely to go out in the heat on a weekday? They don't know how it's going to react yet to summer, because it hasn't been around long enough to know.

I'd take a guess because it is so similar to the Flu that it possibly could slow the spread, but it's not impossible to get the Flu in the middle of summer, either - just less likely. I wouldn't rely on this until they actually see how this thing does for the summer. Stay suited up. We may be waiting a long time.

City of Corpus update:

http://news.cctexas.com/news/coronavirus-update-6795333

"All positive cases were travel related (Costa Rica, Ireland, Houston, New Orleans, Spain) and not considered community spread."
