Whatever closures the City put in were apparently temporary. The Access at Zahn Rd., Newport Pass Rd. and the launch at Packery are all open again, at lunch today. They also took down the caution tape on the Jetties, and there are numerous fishermen out there now.

Initially seemed like a pretty poor use of Police Force time, but maybe somebody came to their senses and realized "it's the beach - the perfect place to 'Social Distance'. ???

I'm thinking it was a delayed reaction to the Spring Break crowds - you know, the ones that tend to gather in groups of 20 guys to 2 women to try and get them drunk and flash things...

Now that they've returned to the indoctrination factories, our preciouses are freed again...

Granted, my 'Spring Break' memories from college are somewhat dated (late 80's - early 90's), but I simply don't remember it being such a 'sausage-fest', like you point out. Then again, back then, nobody wore blue jeans with their rear-end hanging out - flashing gang signs.
