Read a post on another website that there was a boating accident with injuries during a boat demo at the Bluff's Landing boat show this past weekend. Is this true? _________________ HooYah!

| Interesting! I haven't heard any ambulance sirens or anything all weekend over here. And I was only gone for two hours yesterday playing pickleball And 2 hours on Saturday playing softball. Doesn't mean that it didn't happen though. |

Just from people i know that knew the family. They were heading south by the KRS and turned around heading back north at high speeds, something went wrong and the boat lifted around 20' and slammed back down into sand. The passenger was unconscious and is still in very bad shape. |

| Also heard the boat was a shoalwater but not or sure this is true because the speeds they were going (82mph) didn't make sense to me for that boat. We have one with a 300 evinrude and it tops out high 50s. |

| the only thing that could do that or get that speed is lifting the hull off the drag of the water and doing a hydrofoil on the motor foot. |

THE TIDE IS CHANGING Here it is Shoalwater New 21ft VIPER Shoalwater 21 Viper. Full gas, 2 guys, 88 MPH. Runs super skinny, jumps out of the shallows, handles rough water and a really dry ride. We have it at Bluffs Landing Boat Show this weekend. The VIPER does it all!!! Call Sonny

an attorney will retire over this incident, and the boat maker is trying to salvage his reputation, the future of his business, and very likely his personal nest egg.
But it is odd there are zero references in the on-line newspapers. |

The manufacturer brochure for that boat says 50 mph+, yet the post said 88 mph.
They may need to add
*NTE 50 mph with headwind
I hope those boaters recover. Medical insurance lawyers likely already have a screengrab of that post stating 88 mph... |

At last year's Saltwater Angler Boat Show, one of the local manufacturers told me a couple of their boats would go 85! That's just insane. TexasJim _________________ TexasJim

Those are wise words!
I hope the injured folks recover. Guess I'm just old or seen to much thru the years but I dont see any reason to go that fast on the water. Not a whole lot of reasons to go that fast on the road either. |
