Got back into town yesterday and took me all afternoon yesterday and half of today to get things semi organized around here. needed to get out and get my saltwater fix. Besides I got a new St. Croix rod to replace one that broke and I needed to try it out. Turns out the one that broke that I got at Roy's was actually a freshwater rod. So I spent the couple extra bucks to upgrade.
Jumped in the boat and pump the ball a couple times and on a very first tried motor started right up. Not bad after sitting for 7 weeks.
Anyway I pulled away from the dock at 2:27 and headed toward the 2-minute honey hole. She was very good to me today. Second cast she greets me with a 17-inch trout. A few casts later a 20 in . Went back for a second small drift and by 3:04 I had a first limit. Fished several other spots within a quarter-mile of Pita and probably caught a triple limit of trout.
Water was pretty nice. It was a greenish Brown and just enough stain to not spook to fish but not clear enough to be able to use my tequila gold sand eels.

| Yeah I don't know what happened to the size of those pictures. I just looked at it myself. Damn. Just figured out how to reduce it. |

Welcome back and great job. Those winter reds and trout love eating those sand eels. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

| This is good news, welcome back. Is that rod from the Tidemaster series? |

| Yes the one I upgraded to is a Tidemaster series. The one that broke was a Triumph. Actually I had two that broke that were both Triumphs that I got at Roy's. Had no problem with St Croix replacing both. The first one I got another Triumph but on the second one is when the person there at St. Croix told me about the difference between the saltwater and freshwater rods. |
