I used a different handle on TKF, but hopefully some of you guys will show up here and recognize me anyway.

I have a lot of Corpus-area clients, and don't necessarily want them to know when I play on the internet.

ps - looking forward to some kayak fishing reports and Neumie tutorials.

I will admit publicly to being a member of this radical, right-wing uniformed group! Maybe my avatar will accompany my intro.
Thanks to Tyler and Ron for finding us some shelter from the storm.
I usually behave and don't cause too much trouble.

Question Shocked

Welcome. It looks to me like you'll fit right in.

Now, someone explain to me what is happening to TKF for us to be absorbing their members? I'm a member there as well but don't check it nearly as often as this one. Hosting issues? Political fights? Whatever it is, y'all are all welcome here. We are a great community of fellow fishermen and women.

hi, bro, TKF Stubbs announced last month the site is closing down the middle of this month. Some regular contributors there tried negotiating to keep it going, but no way to resolve it. Many of the original TKF members have been showing up to say their goodbyes.
Losing the archive there is a shame. Just the loss of fishing details is a crime, but so much lost on outfitting and rigging, and it was a great database to search just about any kayak question.
Today TKF was sometimes running well, sometimes timing out or giving php-board errors, and I'm guessing it will be a short time until the subscription expires.

Having a place for friends to get together and plan trips is great, and we really appreciate Tyler making this addition.

You're welcome guys. I've got an old php version still running on this site because I was afraid of losing all of the great info that's been shared here over the years with an updated of the latest greatest php forum. That an I'm not an IT guy! 😀

Yes, sad to see TKF go by the wayside. For some reason I lost my ability to log on to TKF back last November and wasn't able to get it corrected. I have been a member of both TKF and Corpusfishing.com since 2006 as several others have been. Thanks for expanding the board to those who was not associated with both groups. Both of the fishing sites are awesome!

Here.... Cool
Bummer that Tom is calling it quits but I suppose its a sign of the times.
The TKF site had been messed up for some time and I couldn't get on or
enlist any help to do so. I sold my site (Austin Kayak Fishing) to ACK when I was ready to pass on the torch. ACK crashed the site then closed it, opting to start a "Fishkats" site. Most everyone moved over to Facebook then

I didn't post on that site or even this site very much. I read this one all the time. TKF, not recently, but hate to see it go.
