On Saturday, went out on a scouting trip in PINS to see how the new Yarborough Pass road is. And they did a great job. Didnt have to use 4x4 to travel in it ...only in the entrance...as a precaution. The water was great....bait jumping everywhere...didnt take any rods...bummer. Only a couple of trucks there...didnt ask if they were catching anything. Its a great place to wade or kayak.

We got there Friday 3/29, tons of reds, lots of rat reds, 2 25 red, 2 black drum 20+, 1 25" trout, one huge, I mean huge hard head, but surf on Saturday, pomps, didn't get to hook on anything Saturday evening, dinner and nap to fish the night, only secure camp, and prepaid for the storm. New gazelle tent worked great, it tried to cave in, but only in the screened area due to not young the inside rods. _________________ Fish and Hunt Baby.... so tight lines and clear scopes. |
