Here is a shot, looking north, near Newport Pass Rd. The entire first bar was exposed , and it makes for an interesting explanation as to why the 'back of the bar' is the place to rest your baits. It's where all the food is!!!
The other cool shot I got was a perfect micro-example of a rip current. It shows how the return wash is funneled into small spaces and really gains speed, so much so that it could easily take you out to sea (at the macro scale).

Great post! Which explains why we got no bites when the tide was out. The groceries were on wet exposed sand. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |
