Took the day off with dreams of big red snapper at the close rigs only to be greeted that morning with super heavy fog. With the dream postponed we stayed in the bay for a few hours catching a dink trout here and there waiting for the fog to lift. Once it did... I was eager to get out there. First stop 3 miles out, giant gafftop, even a hardhead on a jig. NEXT! The next rig was 8 miles out, same results. Did see several hundred bonita and/or Spanish macs on the surface but they wanted no lure we threw. So dreams shattered we headed back to the bay where every spot we went to yielded similar results, dink trout. One dink red was caught just to make things interesting. It was a good day to be out, too bad the fish didn't want to cooperate. Here's a quick compilation of short clips and pics. Enjoy.
