Go down to sbh this morning about little after 7 and was greeted by this beautiful sunrise.

Set out three rods with some Frozen mullet that I brought from home because there were no mullet in the surf today. Caught a 24in skipjack that I used for cut bait and it kept me active with fish all day. By 8:30 I was tired bringing in fish and had to sit back and rest for a while. Three gafftop, two skip jacks, two blue fish and three sharks.

And things shut down pretty much except for gafftops and hardheads. And by 10:30 the weed started coming in real bad so I packed up and came home.

How far down were you? I was out there as well this morning (black Z71 with black rack). One good sized whiting, lots of little whiting, one gafftop and nothing else. But I had to go try it out.

Went SBH this afternoon. Past the bowl to first spot and found some weed coming in. Caught whiting and hard heads. Headed to second spot, just north of the bowl, looked for a section of beach with the least amount of weed at the tide line. First cast was hooked up on a nice pompano by the time I walked back to shore. Water was clear with a small amount of bait moving around. Pomp action was pretty steady so stayed until about 6:30 catching pompano and 13" whiting.
