Looking at hitting PINS next Thursday and Friday. If this storm hits this weekend as predicted how will it affect things there? Is it worth it or should I cancel vacation days? An save them for another time?

Honestly, given that far out of a potential travel date, my recommendation for you would be to call Ms. Cloe

| I travel from DFW to get to PINS and have learned can't predict the weather/water condition more than 48hr in advance. I have had times where the week to 10 days leading up to departure look great and then all of sudden 24-36 hours something changes and things go from great to horrible. I have also seen it happen the opposite. |

Depending on WHAT this "disturbance" coming our way does, we may be talking beach closure, water to the dunes, all of the aforementioned. There's also some flooding expected with it too. But, if it doesn't organize like they think it will, you may luck out and start seeing it clear up as early as next weekend. Which means the sand will probably be tight packed to the dunes and good driving.
This is all IF TS Issac doesn't re-strengthen and come our way. It's a tough call at this point. Since you don't live here, might be better off rescheduling. I love it here in October. It's still usually very warm, no crowds, great fishing, and the hurricane threats have usually stopped by then. Up to you though. Come on down and rough it out if you want. _________________ All things will pass. Have a Blessed day. |
