An acre of menhaden are doing death spirals at Packery right now.
That is how the last one started.

Should obliterate it.... the the Patronus charm against this which can't be named. But just depends on how much rain we get.. it's actually sort of a cycle.. increased runoff from agriculture is shown in studies to increase toxic algal blooms.. but it's also the fresh water that also keeps it lessened... but then we get periods of less rain and that's when it blooms. go figure.

It Shall Not Be Mentioned, but none-the-less, has made Itself known. Crying or Very sad

That acre of menhaden doing the 'dance' last night, are making their way as floaters out of Packery with the falling tide. And the aerosols are not too bad yet, but definitely noticeable. Especially if you are like me and are very sensitive to it. After repeated exposure...............

Can't say I too surprised. Come on Storm and make this a small'ish Event.

Counts from Packery this am were in the rafters area, not yet 'through the roof', but still enough to get the attention of thousands of pogies....

The sunny afternoon of today ain't helping none. I'm almost hoping for the Invest system to move over us, just for the cloud cover (and the wind for mixing)....

That's one way to phrase it... Crying or Very sad

I should have placed my wager back in July, when I said the Unholy Trifecta made it "THE YEAR" for an outbreak.

If you see me coughing through the aerosols, counting dead fish, be sure and wave "Hi", as you drive by.....
