Longtime lurker, finally joined. Out at Packery South 8/19 from 5:30am to 10:30am. Hoped to throw some big poppers at end, but water still really dirty, about two notches under chocolate milk. Good water flow and strong rip along south rocks. Soaked live and cut bait, and plastics under cork on surf and channel sides at the south end - nada worth talking about. Saw one decent gafftop caught on squid. Clean water line was sharp, but still a ways out there. Lots of horse mullet surfing around. By 10am tacos were calling louder than the fish. Few more days...
