The surf forecast looks good, and I wanted to maybe hit the jetty.

Water was dirty all along Mustang yesterday. South Jetty at Port A had a few people on it but I didn't see anyone catch anything. North Jetty has been hot for Bull Reds.

At the Hurricane Harvey Symposium yesterday, I went out to look at the water at one of the breaks, and the brown water looks to be breaking up and was only intermittent from the 2nd bar out.

Loads of black terns (? - my small beach bird ID skills are limited) lounging and the pelicans were starting to work out in the green water.

Temp was up to 80F based on the PTAT2 TABS Station at 9:00 am today.

Looking better all around.

After dinner, went down a couple of miles down pins, the water looked great, the sand looked great, i put out a couple of lines , caught some whiting. A moron came by - now I am 2 miles from the pavement, so campers around, and a moron came by - no doubt exceeding 60 mph on the sand.
