So I filled up my new reel today. Penn 115 9/0. Supposed to hold 1450 yards of 100lb braid. It took a whole 1200 yard spool of sufix 100lb braid and was pretty much full. I was only able to get about 50 yards of 130lb mono on top of it. Yall think this is normal? Maybe sufix is thicker then other braids? Maybe I didnt spool it good enough? Anyway its still got a huge amount of line. Ill be able to drop way out now.
Thanks guys

Depends on brand. They are all a little different thicknesses. Also I think some manufacturers beef up their numbers a bit as well. Either way that's a lot of line. Just keep in mind that you're gonna have to reel all that in as well You might look at upgrading the drag washers too.
