Went to try out the north and of PINS for about three hours about 6 miles down. Still had quite a bit of clear bryzoans in the water buy not nearly the amount that was there mid month. The water was chocolate milk with heavy currrent and due to this and the weeds fishing my long rods was tough. All I could manage to scare up while using my shorter rods standing on the first bar were plenty of hardheads and a very occasional whiting. What will it take to bring back good fishing conditions? I have only been in CC 2 years so I am just getting a hang of the weather and how it relates to the surf. I dont recall last summer having 2-4 foot surf everyday and sometimes higher. The wind hasn't seemed to let up and I am dying to get ou there in 1-2 foot surf with decent water.

Weather report says you might see some 1 foot seas next week. Finaly a little relief. I'm sure, if you check, you'll find Corpus on the top 10 windiest cities in the U.S.....or else I was lied to. I'm not gonna check; I believe it.

What?! The 'Windy City' isn't even in the Top 10?! Blasphemy, or marketing scheme, depending on who you ask.

The Windy City is called that because of blowhard politicians, not because of weather.

We camped around 20 the last two nights and the wind was all that saved us from being swarmed by mosquitos. If you stood behind the truck to block the wind, 15 would land all over you. The water was brown all the way down but got better by the jetties.
Out going tide all day made driving a breeze.
Not as many people as I have seen before. Only 2 camps at the jetties when we got there yesterday afternoon.
