Howdy!
I'm gonna try to come back down this weekend with my brother to fish, but was wondering how the recent rains/flooding might affect fishing in the areas around Redfish Bay and Brown and Root Flats. Would we be better off waiting until things return to normal or just adjust fishing technique based on conditions?
With the large amount of freshwater and change in salinity, do the fish tend to seek channels and deeper water? Does feeding activity reduce overall or switch to short intense frenzies separated by long lulls of inactivity?
Any advice is welcomed and appreciated. We're coming from San Antonio and have been skunked more often than not so we want to focus on areas that should be productive under the circumstances or just wait until a better time. |
