What is with the line of rocks at the bird island boat ramp? Was there on Friday and most people were launching/loading on the bank between two docks avoiding the ramp. I hit it when launching early that morning. I have launched there 3-4 times a year for over ten years and I cant remember it ever being a problem..

Hurricane Harvey damaged the ramp and the rocks were part of the "fix" by the Park Service. Depending on the tide, they can get pretty close to your lower unit.

I fished several days last week and launched on the sand every time except when loading on my last day. And I stupidly tried to load on the paved ramp As I saw multiple other boats using it.. The park ranger at the front check-in area told me the ramp was fixed. Well let me tell you it
