Great day offshore fishing. Ran deep early for a couple of wahoo and then back to Hospital Rock for large Red snapper, ling, chicken dolphin, and a lot of kings showing up. Lots of sharks patrolling. I am a rookie to the forum, I have been reading for months and decided to get in, I will work on pictures for the next post. Bad news, there is more sargassum flosting in the Gulf than I have seen in the last few years, tough trolling and all headed for the beach eventually. |

Great report. One question though...what is a chicken dolpin? I know that sounds stupid, but have NEVER heard of that before. _________________ wishn i was fishn...at the beach! <*)}}}>< |

| Actually, I think it is a subspecies of mahi. I don't believe there are any regs on them and you can keep them.....taste like chicken....hehehehehe... |

Wanted to make sure you were joking. Chicken dolphin is just a small dorado. There is another species of dolphin known as the pompano dolphin though. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |
