The wife's birthday fishing trip, three days in Port A. Fished north jetty Friday & Saturday morning and south jetty for a couple hrs on Sunday. Fishing really slow caught a lot of smalls, sheepies up to 16.5", reds, gaftop, hardheads, oyster toadfish, whiteing, sting rays & my first what I believe is an electric ray. The wife managed two reds Friday 22"/25" & two thick flounder 16.5" Saturday on her lightest gear little Abu spinning reel with 10# Suffix 832. Buddy hooked into a 100+# pound stingray he let the ladies in on a twenty five minute fight, 5' wing span & thick...broke off at dock but not before we got to see with an audience as well!! Looking forward to our next trip!! Tight lines

Spot on, with the ray ID. It's the Lesser Electric Ray (Narcine brasiliensis), and is capable of delivering a pretty decent shock!!
Your North Jetty trip looked productive, as always (even if it was slow). |

Thanks for the verification Central Scrutinizer, the wife was trying to get me to touch it to prove to her (NOPE)!!
Fishing was really slow, the good news the wife caught the keepers for her trip. She is getting pretty good targeting flounder and catching them. |
