Howdy.

Been a while since I posted here but I visit every other day.

Question for all you seasoned PINS fisherman. I'm seeing some SSE winds this Friday and high tide of about 1.6 ft at noon. How much beach does this leave for driving/camping?

Am looking to go a minimum of 15 miles down for Friday-Sunday. Have a 4x4 and I've seen some reports in the past few weeks of folks going down around the 20s or further so I assume (hopefully not wrongfully) that driving should be doable, especially at lower tide. Just don't want to get washed out at noon on Saturday and be able to make it home Sunday afternoon.

Any thoughts/advice is appreciated!

I was down 2 weeks ago and with a 4x4 you could make it all the way to the Jetty. There were some soft spots but nothing too bad.

I camped both nights in the 12-15 area and didn't have aissues at high tide. There definitly some areas that are narrower and you would need to be vigilent.

The middle to the end of the month have some pretty persistent Highs. Add some Spring winds, and you got some 'water to the dunes' conditions.

Which is really fine, as it packs the sand in Little Shell and somewhat in Big Shell, and preps the beach for the summer crowds! Cool I mean, even a Subaru could make it ......
