I was looking at the weather for this weekend. Found weather forecasts for the beach. Crossing fingers for clear skies. Hope to watch the meteor shower

Spring in Texas can go either way and change in an instant.

Go to the weekly view and then arrow to the right to get to 'sky cover'

not looking good on the prediction side for night viewing, but hell, who knows with spring forecast. 40% chance of rain is actually really low and I'd almost say not very likely on the beach in my experience this time of year.

have fun, and hope for the best, Sunday and Monday forecast should be nice, albeit a bit breezy from the north.

Agree with the above statements. For viewing the night sky, I would be somewhere other than the island, mist, fog, humdiddity , all kinds of things to mess with it out there. That being said, i was out there last evening, and the driving was great (tide was going out btw, so no surprise) , the sand was packed, the water was very fishable - clarity 6-7 or better, anchovies here and there , wind was pretty much nada, in spite of what the weather guy said, and no seaweed. I was down - only 4 miles or so - so just off the asphalt a bit. Oh, lots of birds flying - they werent working but if you wanted to get cool pictures of large flocks of birds - there were there. Didnt see any pelicans - guessing there were down farther where the fishing was better.
