Looking back between March 1 st and the 20 th have been the time to catch the trout of a life time for us.

My largest trout [ 32 1/4 ] 11 lb. was caught on March 3 rd few years back in the Meadows on a drift. My middle son got his big girl on the 5 th, just west of Peniscal on the Holy Land shoreline. It was 31 1/2 " in 2 foot of water.

Both times we were red-fishing with live shrimp under an Alameda.

So you know where i will be in March. Ready to re spool and grease the ol Shamano's

Tight Lines.

Good timing as they should weight the most right before they start dropping eggs.
