I carry the 6 wt with me as wind insurance. I need to break it out for a while to keep accustomed to the feel of casting it. |

don't want to completely derail the thread, but the nice thing bout glass rods is they talk to you when you cast - so an invite to learn about venerable fly rods (there's also a good classifieds page)

Thanks for the tips, been out twice with the fly rod and caught some good fish.
I usually bring a friend with me, guess I'll need to get a spare guest rod now as well |
