The surf - is flat - does anyone know the seaweed situation down PINS ? Nick's words regarding his best pomp fishing - is on an out going tide.
I am checking on the 361 posts on fb and seems spotty as far as consistent reds anywhere.
I have been under the weather for the last 10 days , and am on an upturn, my fever broke this morning , the meds the doctor gave me are just about all taken, so I will get well - tonight. I will twist any stat to be in my favor for going out tomorrow - but any of you seeing this as looking good? _________________ Don - permanent prescription of salt water therapy. |

| I was out on the north end today and the fishing was so so for me....whiting were plentiful but the reds were non exsitent for me. I didnt i have one cut bait touched...but i did make up for it by finding a load of cool junk. Filet knife a top and matching bottom huge arc shell 10 cold stunned star fish whole sand dollars and various other neat shells. I even found a pair of Gucci sunglasses at the dune line that had washed in. What it boils down to is i caught some whiting but had more fun finding stuff the rough north wind stirred up |

Went out there Sunday afternoon. It was absolutely beautiful. Low wind, calm clear water. Went about ~12 down. Had fresh dead shrimp, some fishbites in shrimp flavor, and some fresh dead skipjack. I caoght one decent size whiting on the shrimp/conventional rig. No hits at all on the skipjack/"redfish" rig. Enjoyed my outing but would've immensely increased if I'd have laid into something. AH WELL. _________________ All things will pass. Have a Blessed day. |

Dang, but then we always hear that there needs to be movement of the water, due to tides, current, whatever to move food around for the fish to bite hard. If I wasnt getting over this d cold, I would have been out there. And you had skip jack, wow. If I get out in the next day(s) , I am going to grab some fresh shrimp, and some , if I can get them, live mullet, maybe croaker or perch as well, just to give them a smorgasboard. But like you said, even if nothing bites, I will still be on the island, down the national seashore, a good day anyway. _________________ Don - permanent prescription of salt water therapy. |
