| Thinking about heading down tomorrow for a few days. Weather Channel forecast looks ok as far as temps and moderate winds (not that I really trust them). What do the locals think as far as how the weekend will look like at PINS? |

| Surf yesterday was pretty high. Driving during high tide might be a little bit of a problem. Cold front coming through Saturday. Have fun |

What does a cold front usually mean for water conditions? Not so concerned about temps as I don't mind the cooler weather just don't want to be on the island if a front moves through and conditions turn to crap. I am a little gun shy of heading down when weather is questionable. made a trip down from Dallas last fall where things looked Okay when I left on Friday but on Saturday things had turned crappy and I had to turn around and leave.
I am still trying to figure the TX coast out. East coast is easy compared to this stretch of TX coast. |

RNail, according to the incredibly reliable and always accurate weatherman
, there is a strong front coming through saturday afternoon 5-6 ish. So if it comes then, or the day before, or the day after, quien sabe, it will make a difference for driving - and my guess , the fishing as well. But being very spoiled (42 minute drive from my house to the sand of PINS), i dont care - i will go even if it sounds and looks like sxxx. And I will post it - so you know if you screwed up and should have been here - or chose the wise approach and stayed and home and watch the c.... , never mind. _________________ Don - permanent prescription of salt water therapy. |

Water temps are starting to really get down now too. I can still tolerate where it is right now without special gear, but depending on your own circumstances you may want to pack waders. _________________ All things will pass. Have a Blessed day. |

probably going to play is safe and stay home, hate to drive that way and have the weather be crap and the tides not cooperate. I can handle not catching anything since that happens a lot, just don't want bad weather and bad fishing. |

Got a feeling that Saturday, prior to front, is going to be good.
The fish get a break in that I'll be down in Kingsville at the King Ranch Breakfast .

| Water levels still look to be up and yeah sounds like it's going to be a pretty good front, so might want to wait on better weekend. GL. |
