So I just checked the temperature at Bob Hall Pier and it is a balmy 57 degrees.
And I see no fishing reports from today.
What the heck, tuffn up buttercup!
Only 55 days until we leave winter in Wyoming and trek to the island.
If you need any tips on how to keep you line from freezing in the eyelets I can help you out.
However, I do prefer seashells to snowflakes!

Well said, I was in water up to my chest yesterday, had so much fun. Now - deepest darkest winter , 57 degrees. I will suck it up - and be back out in a day or so. Time to get tough.

Being the bright guy that I am, instead of wading out in cold water, I am going to learn to cast farther. Even old dogs can learn new tricks. Or buy better rods. Or both.

Hey Sinker, if you can give me suggestions on how to prevent this I'd appreciate it. Will be fishing in these conditions up in New Mexico in the next week or so.

I apply turtle wax to the guides before I go. Need to reapply daily.
Good luck in NM

Oh yes I forgot to mention that today I went fishing at Pathfinder Res. with
Two of my very senior friends. And since there are no fish in Wyoming it is fake news we caught 16 trout ranging 18 to 24 inches. Because all the fish are in Colorado and New Mexico.
Temperature at 7:00 this morning was 19.
But by noon it zoomed to 40.
