I was debating going out tonight or tomorrow AM. I saw the weather is supposed to be kinda iffy tomorrow. Hope I don't regret staying in tonight, but work will do that to ya! Hopefully the magic will continue into the morning! (...or get FAR better)

But either way, gotta LOVE that it looks that awesome and warm and beautiful in NOVEMBER here. God bless Texas!

The pier must have attracted all the fish. I was down fishing at marker 255 SBH from 1100 to 100, and could not give a shirmp, or a cut bait away. No forage fish in the water that I could see either. Going to try again a couple of days after the front.

I hear you chapcat. I was there from 9:30 until noon and got a few hardheads half-a-dozen Whiting and a 3 foot blacktip. No bait again to be found

Son and I went down in the 20 mm area - landed a 23 inch red, lost a beauty that I fought for quite a while - to a failed knot - tell me I am going to kick myself all night for that. Landed a small shark - 3 foot or so. There were fish in the area - we caught a good size skip jack and cut bait it was took the shark, live mullet was the red's bait. A blue sided kastmaster - that someone on here tipped me about - was what I hooked the large red that got away.

Water looked good, beach was great. We missed more than a few bites, because of getting too far from the bait rigs while working some lures.
