I heard of several folks getting money for food lost in freezers and refrigerators during Harvey due to the power being out several days. Fortunately that was about all I lost. Apparently if you have that item number 320 on your TWIA Texas Windstorm Insurance Agency policy, you can reimbursed up to $500 for the contents.
In fact a friend of mine went to the mobile office in Corpus Christi yesterday brought his TWIA policy and after a two hour wait was issued a check for $500. I just called them over the phone and surprisingly didn't have to wait on hold for longer than two minutes. I filed a claim and probably will have someone at TWIA call me back in about a week or less regarding the claim.

| I had a Twitter inspector come out to the house and said that yes your allotted $500 for food replacement |
