How do you fish the D.O.A. Shrimp I here about.
Under a poping cork?
Free shrimp and a slow retreive?
Just wondering.

They are deadly fished extremely slow and drug accross the bottom. I really like fishing them on piers at night on the edges of the lights. They also work well under a cork, but I prefer eels or Assassins for that.

I don't know much about DOAs. I have seen people catch fish with eels under a cork, but I think the best artificial under a cork is a gulp or slurp. I personally like the 3 or 4 inch in new penny. Works real well.

I catch lots of fish on DOA shrimp. I fish them several different ways.

I catch a lot of fish in moving water free-lining them. I toss them out and then slowly twitch them back to the boat. I will drag the bottom with them. I will also fish them like a softplastic jerkbait working it real fast to keep above the grass in the flats.

I catch a lot of fish using them under corks too. And to the surprise of many, I catch about 50/50 reds to trout under the corks. I use both the rattling popping corks and the maulers.

Here is a pic and report form the full moon weekend before last. I caught the trout on DOA under a rattling popping cork. We had reds hitting them in Shamrock under maulers the evening before.

I almost always have a DOA tied on one my rods when I hit the water.

Thanks for all the info on how to fish em...ive had limited success and it is certainly cheaper than quarts and quarts of shrimp

Same here. I love them under a popping cork, or bounced really slow. I am starting to like the gulp new penny shrimp though!!
