Does anyone know if that route is passable?
188 to 1069 or 35.
If passable, would that be by car or truck?
Wanting to head down Wednesday to check on the condition of my dad's house, do a little cleanup and bring back some essentials.
Thank you.

I did it today. I had a claim in Refugio and had to go the Rockport from there. I ended up going through Bayside and then hitting 188 to Rockport. There is lots of debris, power lines, etc. all over the Roads in Rockport so be careful and South bound on 35 from Rockport there is an area with water over the road that you will have to drive through. Probably 3-5 inched deep at the shoulder and much deeper in the 2 actual lanes.

Made the trip from San Antonio to Rockport with my uncle yesterday. Took the car (Chevy Cruze) and had no passage issues down 181/188/1069. Did get a little sketchy with downed trees and power lines laying across the road. Lots more people there than I had figured busily cleaning up and providing support services. While my uncle and I were salvaging a few items, twice we had people stopping by asking if we needed water. So far, cell service, and in some areas water, has been restored.
They seemed to be doing okay for now as far as water, food and fuel goes but there is A LOT of work left to be done before things get back to even barely normal.
