My buddy and I fished from 0730 till 1130 today. I would not call the bite on fire, but persistence paid off throwing Super Spooks. We ended up with nine nice trout fishing the second gut. Several more were lost as well before getting them landed. I had one really big fish break me off, taking my favorite Spook with him. The largest boxed was well over 20 inches, caught by my partner. My friend also caught a Crevalle Jack about 16 inches long. Water is clearing nicely, but sargassum was a bit problematic throwing anything other than topwaters.
