Fished Rockport yesterday. Trout are biting in the bay on croaker. We found them early shallow and then deeper later on in the day. Bite was slow but there. No live shrimp or fresh dead was available at Sea Gun on Copano then. Maybe now.

Laguna has been pretty steady for me over the last few weeks...the ticket for us was to slowly work relatively large areas and targeting holes in the grass in about 4' of water. Picked up a red early and managed to grind out a nice box of trout. I've been hearing that the bite shuts down late morning but the best bite we had was around 11am at the last patch of sand pockets for the day. Trout were overall pretty skinny but the occasional chunk made it worth it. We fished all the way from pita to the causeway...

Baffin is 'shallow next to deep' fish have been holding deeper seeking refuge. You'll catch a few very early and by 8am they are sneaking out to deeper water. Other areas of current are also good like the land cut as well. Soft plastics and rigged weedless where there is a lot of floating grass helps.
