Must have been 100+ kids from all manner of FFA Chapters that descended upon the Newport Pass to Access Rd. 3 area yesterday afternoon. Turns out, it was their community service project, and they did an outstanding job of cleaning that section, well into the State Park boundaries.
(You could tell it was FFA, who else wears jeans and boots to the beach!!!  )
I made a point of stopping by and telling a couple of the group leaders that, "as a local who uses this section, a huge heartfelt thank you" for their efforts. |

Went on an 8hr offshore trip with Deep Sea Headquarters yesterday and there were 28 kids and chaperones from the Bandera I.S.D. FFA on board. Nobody got sick and they all got their snapper limits.
