headed to the fish pass jetties today,to take advantage of the flat surf. i threw spoons, topwater, twitchbaits, noting and only caught hardheads and whiting on shrimp and fishbites. There wasnt all to much bait, just some mullet, but not in big numbers. as the sun was getting low, i got a pretty nice spanish mackerel, and was about to call it a day when i noticed that down the beach there was a frenzy going on. I decided to make a couple casts and that yielded 7 trout. beware of the mosquitos, they are absolutely HORRIBLE by the dunes in the evening. all fish were caught on gulp shrimp in new penny/chartreuse

Truer Words have never been spoken.

And the same goes for early morning. I went to try and catch the pre-dawn Arietids meteor shower, and I didn't last 10 minutes. Even standing out in the surf wasn't enough to keep them off. WOW!!! Shocked
