well came down with my wife and son to spend a few days wasnt expecting much due to last few times wife and i havent caught much at all. went and fished bob hall for a bit, bait was in the water, so figured might not luck out, after trying for several hours on the pier we left and headed north.

we fished access road 2, rigged up a circle hook, cut bonita amd a surf weight and went out to the second gut and threw my line.
Walking back felt a pretty good tug before i could get back to land. After 20min fight which i thought was a decent shark turned our ro be a 42in bull red. The biggest non shark fish i have ever caught.My 2 year old son was super fascinated.
left and went back to bob hall, plenty of bait in the water but no luck.

That's pretty sweet, congrats! You probably have a future fishing buddy for life!!!

My largest red to date was 42"+, with another 38". They tug!
