Me and a buddy took a quick trip out to around 6 miles on PINS this morning. On our way out, we saw a water spout way off shore, only second one I've seen.
Water wasn't as calm as predicted, but wasn't too bad, fairly clear.
Pleanty of mullet in both wade gut and first gut.
Fishing was fairly fast from when we set up (8:30-9) till around 11. Then it got slow. But picked up for a little bit around 1-2.
Fair bit of pan sized pomps (I returned them to grow bigger), two under sized reds, an undersized trout, a fair bit of whiting, only one hard head Smile
Brought home a good sized Spanish mackerel, 25" red, one slot trout, two black drum and five bull whitings for dinner (I've got two growing boys).
I didn't notice any red tide, but shortly after getting home, my throat is irritated (I don't think it'd red tide).

WARNING: LOTS OF SEA NETTLES. I keep getting a little stung, but got popped one good time, still have a slight red welt from where it got me. Next time I'll have some pants and wading boots in the truck.

Good report. Hope the upcoming cold front gets the reds cruising the surf.

Yep. I got hit twice Tuesday after changing out of my wading pants.

Note to self: Don't change pants until you are sure you are done fishing. Rolling Eyes

We ended up with 2 keeper pomps (several juvies caught), 1 good speck and about 6 or so nice whiting.
