Drove out and started fishing just shy of the 4x4 sign at about 5:45PM. Driving was easy. Water is green and clear, but not too clear. Birds were working the second gut for most of the first five miles. No red tide, no aerosols and no dead fish.
Third cast with a Tidal Surge "the thing" with chatter weight and got wolloped by this guy @26ish inches
Only managed an extra squirrelly skipjack and a whiting after that. Did notice drum eating coquinas right at the water's edge at sunset, but couldn't get them to bite. Anyway, good luck this weekend. |

Like hearing about the beach conditions. Nice job catching. _________________ "I do hunt and I do fish and I do not apologize to anyone that I hunt and fish." - Norman Schwarzkopf |
