Weather report has changed at least a dozen times today but we're still going to give it a shot Saturday and Sunday.
I'll make sure to post pics and a report if we can ever get out on the water long enough to find some fish!
Has all this rain messed up the water clarity? |

It probably will in some areas. Mostly in urban watersheds and where freshwater creeks an bayous run into the bays. depends on where you are planning on fishing as well. Most areas will be fine from a freshwater / salinity standpoint. Upper estuary areas where fresh water flows in might be fresh where they flow in. Deeper areas near there like Copano will get a fresh surface layer but as long as the trout are finding what they need on the bottom for food and salinity then they'll be there.
The winds may have dirtied the water in some areas. |

Really tough day on the water. Finished with 4 trout and 1 red. Fished everywhere from South Bird Island up to Demmit. Water was the highest I have seen in months and it was tough to find clean water anywhere. All in all still a fun day on the water.
How'd everyone else do? |
