...but before I could get the jacks I had to pay the admission fee. Davey Jones made off with another of my gaffs, but it was a small price to get a chance to play with those bulldogs of the open water.

| Actually Terry it wasn't too bad. The surf temp right now is about 70 degrees. |

Hey Prof. The pucker factor on this 61 year old mind and body is just too much for me to attempt that.
Obviously, you knew the possible consequences as you went forward. And, succeeded on the second try.

The pucker factor is there for all of us, but mine is probably mostly due to the expensive gear on the kayak.
I crashed the first time because I was too hesitant, thinking I could just ride over the foam and go hard after the set came through. I was about 20 yards too shallow for that plan. My buddy got it right out the first time, but at least I timed it better on the second attempt. |
