| im planning on making trip to 9 mile hole in middle of april. im looking for advice on how to get mine and my friends yak there with my boat. its a 22ft bluewave. when i get there i plan on anchoring up and wading an paddling the area.i figure if i load them inside..no room in boat. if i tow them i could swamp them with the boat wake if towed behind. i devised a way to make a bridle system and tow them beside the boat but cant figure out how to launch the whole mess at the same time. i would appreiciate any help or suggestions. |

I had a 19' cat and took 2 yaks (13' & 16') with me. Load them in the boat. Its going to be tight but to walk around but manageable. Tied bow to front cleats this way they will not slide back. One big loop on the back cleats to keep them from going left to right (or outside of the boat. It helps if you minimize what you take with you on the yak. _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. |

| Took two ocean kayaks, 2 labs, granted one of them a pup, all our camping gear to Matagorda Island. It was real snug but we made it out and back. It was in a Kenner 21. We put a kayak on either side of the center console. The kayaks were OK Scrambler XT (12'9") and OK Frenzy (9'8") I think that's the right lengths. It can work just not real comfy and if things would have went south in a hurry, I would have been in a real bind. Still it was a memorable trip that we still talk about today. |

I've carried two 15' yaks crosswise in front of the center console before on my Whaler, I just used LOTS of bungie cords. |

| I'd just lean them sideways on either side of the center console. you can pop the kayak up on the front deck if you need to, and strap them down. I've hauled all kinds of crap in my boat down the landcut. riding lawnmowers, johnboats, plywood, roofing material..... |

if the boat is too much, just drive the yaks in a truck back into Yarborough...head south from there in the yaks....problem solved, less gas and headaches in the boat....
oh, and be careful in the blue wave.....the middle grounds are meant for boats that can run really shallow, and I mean for a long time....and the graveyard, well, use your imagination....
