Well,

I suppose most of ya'll here know more about marriage than I do, but when the wife asked to go down island last week at 27 weeks pregnant, I asked, "Are ya sure?"

Lol, off we went. Yep-this is what married camping looks like. Laughing Laughing Laughing No shark glory, no epic midnight light bar nonsense, no glow stick photography.

BUT--- WE GOT bacon, scrambled eggs, steaks and burgers, and clean sheets. Lol. Life is good.

Been working on this truck two weeks straight and the rack is finally done and galvanized. Front rod holder as well.

With a huge storm rolling in on Saturday with 41 knot forecast winds, the fishing remained very slow. Well, unless you are a whiting aficionado. But here's finally one big guy! Notice the tail chomped off. BEYOND typical for this time of year in the high banks. Laid up in the areas potholes, every year we see 'em with chomped backsides! They're so slow and lethargic in this cold water....and they also wash up so frequently totally chomped in half!!! Shark fishing anyone....? Shocked

Meet your cousin Max! Both of you look very much alike from the nose!

Lick lick?

And in came the storm, me having convinced my dear wife that we absolutely MUST be somewhere way south because....I think I said something about shells basically jumping out of the dropping surf and all of them being lightning whelks or something... Laughing

BAM

What a blow. I love it. So does the wife. Storms are what makes this Island special. And I have about nine boatloads of bananas of research to share on that subject, and a certain Coast and Geodetic Survey HERO from the 1800's-but we'll have to get to that later....

Puttin em' to Davey Jones' locker!!!! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

That's a wrap folks. Endless whiting, one pomp Friday at 1400, and one black drum on Saturday before the blow got too bad on cut bait.

Ya'll take care-the @#$# oven just went out, so gotta go do something about replacing the old contraption. Married life? Ain't it grand? Lol. Wouldn't trade it for all the empty fridges and cold beds in the world. Adios and tight lines. Off to Lowe's-official store of married men everywhere.

Cool pictures during the storm. I've weathered some crazy storms in an RV, but never on the beach. As long as the heat or AC still works and there arent any crazy leaks in your vessel, its kinda cool.
