At the scenery, of course. After a slow hunt last night I stopped at the truck to try a new idea. Is it possible to make a night shot look like daylight with stars? My first attempt with 2-5 minute exposures says yes and no. I may need a full moon to make it work in less time (to minimize star trails), but I like the look anyway. Next time I'll use more moon and see how it goes.

| Very cool pics. If I ever figure our how to use my camera I will try this. I stayed in the blind till 2 am under the full moon this past Saturday waiting for the hogs to come out, which they never did. I did see the biggest buck anyone has seen around our area under the full moon. I kept joking saying that since buck season was over we would see a monster and sure enough he showed up. |

Amazing how much color you got in the landscape. Please share your camera settings.
Think I read somewhere that you can expose up to 20 seconds without getting movement in stars. This old world is moving fast. _________________ kick your shoes off and cast a line |

If I remember correctly, it was ISO 1600, f2.8, and exposure was 3 minutes for the first shot, 5 minutes for the second, and 3 for the third.
The color is always interesting to me. It's easy to think that at night time everything is black and white (or very subdued color) but a long exposure can really show what's really there! |

I started learning photography only last year, beyond the point and shoot that is. Experimenting like what you did here is what facinates me. _________________ kick your shoes off and cast a line |

| Me too. I've dabbled in photography since high school in the late 80s and it still fascinates me! |
