A buddy of mine came down from Houston to visit his family for the holidays. He was originally coming in on the 24th but figured he would just come in today so we could get some fishing in before Christmas. Today was a beautiful day, great weather. The morning started off very windy so we decided to launch the kayaks at the packery channel park and fish the channel for a few hours. From 7:00 to 10:30 we were hooking up with sheepshead, trout, and redfish. Lots of undersized fish with just a few slots in the mix. We decided to make the move once the winds slowed down so we packed up and headed over to the ULM. Fished the ULM from 12:00 to 3:30 and managed a few more slot reds and trout. Overall today was an excellent day. Most fish caught on live shrimp under a cork, a few on lures. Here is a photo of todays keepers. 3 Reds 20-25" 4 Trout 15-19" and 1 sheepshead at 15 3/4".
