The wife said let's go fishin, who am I to say no. Headed south early to catch first boat. With a chill in the air we made it in at 0600 got our bait. Year's on the rocks we have met some new friends, ran into our friends Jesse & Mary from Weimer, Hit the surf first, bite was slow then picked up. Started off with a 31" red and picked up some sheephead from 17"-18", all on surf side. Moved back to another location the wife got a 35" red another sheephead and I got a twin set of reds at 27". Fished until 1400 got some grub and headed home, not a bad day on the rocks. Bait live shrimp and mullet on light spinning gear 12# mono. Always enjoy time with my honey. Some pic's of our trip, tight lines.

Very Happy

Looks like a beautiful day on the North Rocks. Don't you just love South Texas this time of the year!

Do you mind posting a report when you get off the rocks?

I love to rock hop but haven't done much jetty fishing in a while and like to go maybe saturday or sunday for the day. Are the sheepshead and drum plentiful right about now? Or should I wait until spring when the spawn is on?

I love San Jose Island. Used to surf it back in the day seemed like the folks fishing were always catching something.

A lot of sheepshead up to 20", live shrimp. Other than that slow due to front.
