An interesting time and an Epic Battle on a 6/0. Ended up releasing an unofficial State Record Shark. Report now up.

Great report and Epic story as we like to say. I saw a big lemon one time swimming around the Nic. She was huge, that might have been her. Cool that you let her go. As you said those things are too rare to kill just to beat your chest with a state record.
Dad will be proud now if you can just lay off the various colored baby Pompano! |

When I see a fish of this size caught from the beach it makes me think twice about going out in my yak!
Great catch! Many more great catches for you in the future.
I remember the first time I met Oz. I was fishing way south and had a 4-5 foot BT on the beach and freaked out about how to get the hook out. He jumped out the truck he was in and helped like a trooper! Then he really freaked me out by walking it in and helping her swim away. He must have been about 18 or younger. Great steward of the sea!
Way to go Oz! _________________ Paul S Perez
