No, lucky this time. They evidently had some sort of problem and tied up to my dock overnight. They got in my boat in the lift and removed my battery and put it in the stolen boat. Found the side gates to the house open where they had walked up the stairs from the lower deck went around the house to the street. Had the cops and GW over for several hours pulling prints this afternoon. I hope they get these low life's. I sure would watch my stuff over there as the talk was that there had been a rash of these. Owner was sure glad to get his boat back! Sounds as if they lift the boat and run across the flats at night to get away. Also sounds like all the thefts happened at night...

It's unbelievable just how bold these thieves are. Me and my friend Walther will be keeping an hot round ready for them.

Too many low life's around. Stil, I love it here in the Bluff, more good folk than bad by far.

So, they run across the flats to Padre Isles? From the wording, I get the impression you live in Padre Isles....

Are they stealing boats from Bluff Landing boat lifts?

The morons that stole a bunch of coolers and such from Marker 37 were apparently arrested last week some time. Word to the thieves because I know they are reading this post. You steal from 37, the police will be the least of your concerns. It will not be tolerated by anyone in this community and multiple cameras are recording 24/7.

On a side note, anyone know what happened to Vannoy after his gill netting expeditions?

I would highly recommend that Bluffs Landing take note and install a camera system all around the boat lifts and docks.

Have some fun. Add a light, bright one. So when the complete the circuit the light will come on. That way you and the neighbors can watch.

Motion detectors work wonders mine can detect a vehicle on my drive way a mile a way. Or a person that comes on my property. Motion lights on your boat lifts would work also.
