Went out to the surf today just north of PINS and caught just about one of everything. There was some scattered, small mullet, 3-6", in the wade gut so I used live and cut mullet.
1 shark 4ft
1 bluefish 20"
1 jack crevalle 32"
1 hardhead...
1 red 20"
1 black drum 22" (shrimp fish bites)
1 whiting
1 small pompano
Line snapped about 10ft out from the rod tip on one good strike and got line cut on another leader.
Pretty fun day but there was seaweed. Segments of the beach had the first and second bar covered with seaweed and others had less. Even after getting to a spot with less weed it was still hard to keep 3 rods going.
Also saw 3 sea nettle jellyfish in areas with higher seaweed. |

Sounds like an interesting day surf fishing.
Was there any sign of red tide? |

Not only a good mix but looks like most made it into the slot. Good show ! Sounds like you had fun. _________________ "I do hunt and I do fish and I do not apologize to anyone that I hunt and fish." - Norman Schwarzkopf |
