Hit the beach in port a. Before daylight with the surf nearly flat and the water looking good. It was a wow sunrise morning. It just looked like it was going to be Awsome fishing. Got a blowup on my first cast. Threw top waters and a spoon From 6:30 -9:30and that first blowup was it. Bait was pretty much everywhere in the water. I was in the vicinity of Cinnamon Shore. Picked up the wife and kids, went to the state park just south fish pass side. Clear water no bait, no fish. About 11:30 left the park and went north of access rd2 maybe 1/2 mile. It was a skipjack rodeo. I threw soft plastics, caught skip jacks. Top water, caught skip jacks. Spoon, caught skip jacks. There were people by me throwing live shrimp and catching skip jacks in the first gut,. That's exspensive entertainment! Skip jacks were big and it was fun. Managed 2 trout on the soft plastics second gut, and my daughter caught 3 blues on a spoon. Hell I caught a pup blacktop on a soft plastic and he did not want to be outdone by the skip Jacks, put on an amazing aerial show. I think I could have thrown a tar ball on a hook and caught skipjacks. By the way lots of tar flakes floating on the surface. Not what I was hoping for, but got a good workout!

Ladyfish chunks are always good bait for bigger game if you want to relax and soak a bait after the morning bite.
